Congrats to Walter Taylor (top pic) and Nicholas Thompson (bottom pic) on passing their Checkrides recently. They are now Private Pilots and celebrated their certificate by flying family members. Both finished their training with around 45 hours of training. Walter and Nicholas continued the perfect pass rate at Helo-Max of 100%. Blue skies and tail winds to these two in their aviation life!Helo-Max LLC recently purchased a 1989 Piper Cadet which will be used in Dublin, Ga. for local commercial services including flight instruction and IFR training. The plane is equipped with a Garmin WAAS certified GNS 430W and ADS-B In and Out. "We are proud to have found this aircraft which is already equipped with NextGen air traffic modernization," states Chris Sumner. The aircrafts color scheme reflects its time at Purdue University. It was documented during a pre-buy inspection that this Piper aircraft, "was the best airframe we have ever inspected". Sumner added "I hired a company in New Jersey that had no affiliation with the plane. And to get such an incredible report reflects the care of this plane by Purdue and its previous owner. They spared no expense. We are so honored to have this plane!".We are proud to announce that our Owner and Chief Pilot Chris Sumner is now a CFI- Certified Flight Instructor! This achievement would not have been possible without Sumner's wife Laurie Sumner and Chief Helicopter Pilot of Middle Georgia State University Kyle Collins.
Pilot and Owner/Operator Chris Sumner Passed his Commercial Check-ride for Airplanes in September of 2016. Pictured below is Sumner striking a pose with CFII Caleb Carter of MGSU. Sumner stated, "Two check-rides in 4 months is representative of a great flight instructor and a lot of hard work. I am very thankful to Caleb. Two more check rides to go. Hopefully, Helo-Max will be adding an Airplane to the fleet soon. Things are going as planned. The Helicopter business is picking up. Unique calls are coming in including weddings which is very exciting. Our low prices and 100% customer satisfaction will continue to grow the brand."
May the 12th, 2016 was a special day for Helo-Max. Early that morning, owner Chris Sumner passed an Instrument Add-On in Airplanes and after lunch graduated with a degree from Middle Georgia State University. Shown pictured above with Sumner is Flight Instructor Caleb Carter after the check-ride and wife Laurie Sumner with Sumner after graduation.
Helo-Max is thankful and excited to enjoy our first Christmas in business. It brings back memories as a young child and the excitement of the unknown. The anticipation of those early Christmas's did not disappoint. And they have provided me memories that I will cherish forever. And that is the essence of Helo-Max and what we have to offer you and your loved ones this Christmas. A Helicopter flight, Christmas lights, apple cider and friends - sounds like memories that, well, we will cherish forever!
Helo-Max is offering huge savings with our 1st Big Sale. The "Spooktacular Flight Sale" will surely lose the company a lot of money but will make us a lot of friends. The flights are sure to offer up a few spooky surprises and we highly recommend dressing up for the occasion. Bring the camera for some great pictures of our beautiful home here in Dublin, Ga. and other Goblins which may show up.
HELO-MAX, LLC. purchased hangar #616 today at Dublin, Ga.'s W.H. 'Bud' Barron Airport. We are so thankful to Fred Houston of Dublin Air Service for allowing us to purchase the hangar. Amazingly, the hangar # is my birthday (June 16th) and it is also the date that the helicopter was 1st flown during a test flight in Torrance, CA.. It is not a coincidence and is without a doubt- a confirmation of what we are doing and the incredible future that HELO-MAX has in Dublin, Ga.. We already have huge American Flag ordered for the hangar and look forward to developing an office and lounge area for our clients. Thank God and Country for this- our "American Dream"! Our love goes to our community which has made this possible. And last but not least, thanks to my wife Laurie for her support and who is the best co-pilot ever.
Helo-Max is open for business! The FAA's "Letter of Authorization" allows Helo-Max to start Part 91 commercial services. We are excited about the unique services we will be able to provide our community. I have flown the new helicopter over 50 hours and it is truly an amazing aircraft. My wife named her "Raven" and she has been awesome. Below is a picture I took when Raven and I flew up to Blairsville, Ga. a couple of weeks ago. We are thankful to all those who played a part in this "American Dream" coming true.
